The Impact of Tai Chi Exercise on the Risk of Falls among Elderly People in the Community
This article aims to explore whether Tai Chi exercise is effective in reducing the risk of falls among elderly people in the community.Twelve elderly community participants were recruited and divided into a Tai Chi exercise group(TCC group)and a control group(C group).Observe the changes in fall risk related indicators among different groups of elderly people before and after 12 weeks of intervention, and conduct statistical analysis. The results showed that compared with the control group, the TCC group significantly improved their gait after 12 weeks of Tai Chi exercise.Compared with the baseline level, the TCC group had a significant improvement in muscle strength and balance ability, and the improvement in walking speed also showed statistically significant differences.Tai Chi exercise has varying degrees of health benefits on indicators related to fall risk for elderly people in the community, and can reduce the risk of falls for the elderly.
