A Study on the Impact of Swimming on the Health and Physical Fitness of Obese Young Women
Obesity is not only an independent disease,but also the cause of various chronic diseases.The increasing obesity rate among adolescents has attracted social attention.This article uses literature review,mathematical statistics,and experimental methods to conduct a 12 week swimming exercise intervention on 20 obese adolescent women.The results showed that after intervention,there were significant changes in weight,BMI,waist circumference,hip circumference,body fat percentage,body fat content,visceral fat content,and subcutaneous fat content,as well as cardiovascular fitness and flexibility fitness in obese adolescent women(P<0.01).There were significant changes in waist to hip ratio,muscle mass and protein mass,and muscle endurance(P<0.05).The swimming training program adopted in the experiment can improve the cardiovascular fitness,muscle endurance,and flexibility fitness of adolescent obese women,reduce their body fat rate,body fat content,and weight,and have a positive impact on improving the body shape of adolescent obese women.
