Football is a collective sport that can exercise the ability to unite and cooperate,and has team spirit.However,in the process of carrying out football teaching,universities often overlook this point and tend to focus more on training football skills,resulting in a lack of football skills among students.Therefore,this article analyzes the meaning of competition guided teaching method,as well as the advantages of using competition guided teaching method,and explores the methods of implementing competition guided teaching method in college football teaching,in order to promote college football teaching and help students improve their physical fitness.
