A Review of the Research on Myofascial Chain Theory for the Treatment of Cervical Spondylosis
Cervical spondylosis is generally a disease caused by cervical degeneration leading to narrowing of the intervertebral foramen or neck blood vessels,which compresses the cervical nerve roots and spinal cord,resulting in corresponding symptoms.According to clinical symptoms,it can be divided into five types:spinal cord type,nerve root type,vertebral artery type,neck type,and mixed type.When cervical spondylosis occurs,symptoms such as decreased limb muscle strength,difficulty in defecation,and even paralysis may occur,which can seriously damage a person's quality of life.In the field of sports rehabilitation,the myofascial chain theory is a commonly used rehabilitation diagnosis and treatment system for cervical spondylosis by domestic and foreign experts and scholars.This article will start with the application of myofascial chain theory in the study of cervical spondylosis and review relevant literature.
