Research on the Correlation between Core Physical and Health Literacy and Psychological Health Status of Vocational School Students
A survey was conducted on vocational school students using the current status of core competencies in physical education and the Chinese Simplified Depression Anxiety Stress Scale(DASS-21).The results showed that the level of core competencies in physical education and health was at an above average level.The score for sportsmanship is the highest,followed by healthy behavior,and the score for athletic ability is the lowest.There are significant differences in the core literacy level of physical education and health among vocational school students of different grades,manifested as the improvement of core literacy level of physical education and health as the grade increases.The current mental health status of vocational school students is not optimistic.There is a significant weak negative correlation between the core competencies of physical education and health subjects and psychological health among vocational school students.In response to these characteristics,the school's physical education and health curriculum should be more targeted in strengthening the cultivation of students'athletic abilities.Suggest schools to offer mental health courses and establish psychological counseling centers.Organize mental health activities and lectures.Encourage students to participate in sports activities,establish warning mechanisms,and create a positive campus culture.Teach time management and stress coping skills,with a special focus on students with extreme anxiety or depression,and provide personalized support.
