A Review on the Selection of Female Heptathlon Athletes
The cultivation of all-around athletes is an extremely complex process,and the selection of all-around athletes requires a long cycle.It is not only necessary to evaluate the athletes'specialized abilities,but also their comprehensive abilities.Therefore,in the development of the heptathlon,scientifically selecting suitable athletes is of paramount importance.After collecting a large amount of information on the selection of heptathlon athletes,it was found that the results of China's all-around events are still lagging behind those of foreign countries,and there are no accurate measurement indicators for the selection methods of female heptathlon athletes.In order to narrow the gap with foreign countries and enhance the international discourse power of the all-around event,this article compares and analyzes the current situation of talent selection for heptathlon athletes at home and abroad,hoping to provide reference for the improvement of the competitive level of women's heptathlon in China.
