An Algorithm of Point Cloud Data Reduction Based on Asymmetric Gridding
This paper proposes an algorithm of data reduction based on asymmetric gridding in connection with the vast a mount of point data. At first,a symmetric grid is built by spherical projection,and the standard deviation is used as base to de termine whether the grid is divided or not. Then one point in every grid is kept down by median filtering. At last,this algorithm is validated and proved well by experiments.
