Aiming at the problems of deformation and landslide hazards in hydropower stations and their surrounding areas in southwest China, this paper proposes an analysis method that combines DS-InSAR technology and spatial clustering. In this paper, the DS-InSAR technique is used to obtain the time series deformation of a hydropower station and its reservoir area in the Lancang river basin, and the GPS monitoring data are used for comparison and verification. On this basis, the spatial clustering method is utilized to draw landslide polygons and identify potential landslides in the reservoir area. The results show that the error range of the monitoring values between DS-InSAR monitoring and GPS points is-4.73~4.33 mm/a,and the overall surface of the hydropower dam has different degrees of deformation characteristics.Along the direction of water flow, both sides of the reservoir bank show a tendency of deformation in the downslope direction.Combined with the spatial clustering statistical method, six areas with prominent deformation characteristics are successfully identified,of which four are ancient landslides. The results of this research can provide a basis for the stable operation of water conservancy projects and the prevention of geologic disasters, and provide a reference for identifying and investigating the potential safety hazards existing in hydropower stations and reservoir areas.
