Review of Guidance,Navigation, and Control Strategy for Aerobraking
Aerobraking effectively saves the fuel for orbital maneuvers through atmospheric drag deceleration, yet it also presents risks. To advance the aerobraking technology in Venus or Mars exploration, the fundamental profile and common characteristics of aerobraking missions are summarized.Simultaneously, the guidance, navigation, and control(GNC)scheme and its difficulties are outlined, along with the progress in autonomous aerobraking software. This study will provide a valuable reference for the mission profile design and GNC system development of future Venus and Mars exploration missions.
