Self-locking nut is a common fastener in aerospace field,and its anti-loosening perform-ance is an important technical index.At present,there is a lack of in-depth research on the rela-tionship between closure quantity and anti-loosening performance.A simulation analysis method for the locking performance of self-locking nuts including closing process,assembly process and loosening process was established.The effect of closing amount on the locking torque and locking performance of self-locking nuts of aerospace MJ 10 specification was studied.The results show that the self-locking torque increases with the increase of the closing amount when the closing a-mount is between 0 and 300 µm,that is,the self-locking torque of the self-locking nut increases with the closing amount.When the closing amount is less than 250 μm,the preload attenuation rate decreases with the closing amount increasing.When the closing amount exceeds 250 μm,the larger the closing amount,the greater the preload decay rate,that is,within a certain range,the larger the closing amount,the better the anti-loosening performance of the self-locking nut,but when the closing amount exceeds a certain value,the anti-loosening performance of the self-locking nut decreases,not the larger the closing amount and self-locking torque,the better the anti-loose-ning performance of the self-locking nut.The research in this paper can provide reference for fas-tener manufacturing enterprises to optimize the closing amount of self-locking nuts.
