There is still a lot of room for discussion on the connotation,value and personnel training system of the discipline construction of area studies.The special geopolitical,economic and cultural characteristics of border areas can provide a unique perspective and analytical framework for the study of regional and nationality studies.If universities in border areas can get rid of the dilemma that their ideas are not clear,basic theoretical research is relatively weak,and personnel training system is not perfect,they can occupy a place in the discipline construction of regional and national studies,and can provide a solid foundation for the construction of new disciplines with unique research content,and train more high-level talents of regional and national studies to apply their knowledge.
