目前,学院颜色编码系统(ACES)已在影视视效制作领域频繁提及并广泛使用.然而,由于ACES的复杂性以及ACES色彩管理流程的专业性,人们对其理解尚不够全面细致.相较于影视数字合成线性工作流(Linear Workflow)的不足,ACES色彩管理流程更具完整性、先进性和前瞻性.本文梳理了同ACES紧密关联的色彩原理和相关概念,总结了ACES的产生原因、优势所在及其在影视数字合成中的具体应用.希望本文有助于视效从业者加深对ACES的全面理解,推进ACES色彩管理流程在剪辑、视效、调色以及虚拟摄制等领域的普及和规范应用.
ACES color management process and its application in digital compositing of film and television
At present,ACES has been frequently mentioned and widely used in the field of post-production.However,due to the comprehensive and professional of ACES,people's understanding of ACES is not comprehensive and precise enough.Compared with the inadequate of linear workflow in digital compositing,ACES is much more complete,advanced and forward-looking.This paper not only expounds the knowledge of color science,which closely related to ACES,but also summarizes the causes,advantages,and workflow of ACES in digital compositing.It will help VFX artists to get a deeper understanding of ACES,strengthen the standardized use of ACES color management workflow in digital compositing and to promote ACES widely popularized and standardly application in edit,VFX,color grading and virtual production.
