A study on the application of AI-driven motion capture for virtual PreViz in film and television
The previsualisation for virtual character movement in limited budget film and television crew normally controlled by PreViz software, key frame animation, traditional motion capture and physical simulation-based techniques, which are respectively characterised by low accuracy,time-consuming and laborious, demands for professional equipment and com-plexity of the production process, and other shortcomings.Aiming at resolving the above problems, this study develops a new method, which realizes the motion control for virtual characters with the help of AI-driven motion capture, and carries out the production of PreViz.The proposed method turns out with better effects through simple processes and expands the scope of application of PreViz.According to the data of experimental comparison, this method can not only meet the re-quirements for production with PreViz to a certain extent, but also presents near real-time effects without wearing profes-sional equipment.Last but not the least,it has the advantages of high cost-effectiveness with small site constraints.
