Objective To revise Chinese Diet Balance Index(DBI)based on the current Chinese dietary guidelines(2022).Methods The components were weighted and the cut-offs and score assigned based on the Chinese Food Guide Pagoda.Results Cereals,vegetable and fruit,bean and dairy,animal food,empty energy food,condiments were selected in cooperation with food variety and drinking water to build up revised Diet Balance Index(DBI_22).Score and scoring method for each individual indicator by referring to the food intake was determined by the balanced diet pagoda.Low Bound Score(LBS),High Bound Score(HBS)and Diet Quality Distance(DQD)were used to evaluate the dietary quality.Conclusion The DBI_22 reflects the principles of new dietary guideline,the scoring method can reflect both under and over intake.DBI_22 can be used as a measurement to evaluate the dietary quality of the individual or the population.
