REGULATION OF SATIETY BY FOOD INGREDIENTS AND ITS RELATED MECHANISMS
Satiety is a state in which the body has no psychological or physiological desire to consume more foods after a certain amount of foods has been consumed.The ability to balance energy intake and expenditure is a complex physiological process in the control of appetite.The global epidemic of obesity has highlighted the importance of strengthening research on the mechanisms in regulating hunger and satiety.Therefore,the regulations of satiety by food components were reviewed,which will provide a scientific basis for the study on the relationship between satiety and health,as well as for the development of healthy foods.
