Municipal road engineering is more systematic than other engineering projects,involving various problems in each stage.The solutions to different problems at different stages are also different,so it is necessary to carry out more in-depth research on the whole process cost control of this type of project.This paper divides the whole process of cost control of municipal road engineering project into five stages:investment decision-making,design,bidding,construction and completion.The value engineering theory is introduced for five different stages to achieve cost control.Through case analysis,the control effect of the cost control scheme at each stage is verified.
