Study on the Variation Law of Soil Shear Strength Based on VST Test
In order to explore the factors affecting the shear strength stability and engineering performance of soil,the shear strength of soil with different depths and water contents was analyzed based on VST test.The results show that the water content is the most important factor affecting the shear strength of the soil.With the increase of water content,the cohesion of the soil gradually decreases,and the internal friction angle gradually decreases,resulting in a sharp decline in the shear strength of the soil.The change of water content with depth reflects the wetting state of soil at different depths,and the sensitivity of soil to water content at different depths is different.At the same time,the change of water content is also affected by factors such as infiltration time,soil properties,soil structure and infiltration process.
