Research on Geological Disaster Hazard Assessment and Prevention Measure for an Energy Project in Gansu Province
The evaluation area is located in the piedmont alluvial plain in the northern part of the western section of the Hexi Corridor.It is mainly composed of sand and gravel Gobi,and the geological disasters of wind erosion,sand burial,and flood erosion are developed.This paper evaluates the current situation of geological disasters,predicts the geological disasters that may be caused by engineering construction,and puts forward corresponding prevention measures.In the construction of the project,the disturbance area should be reduced as much as possible,the backfill should be done in time,and the measures such as increasing the dustproof net,sprinkling water to reduce dust should be taken to prevent the geological disasters of wind erosion and sand burial;flood diversion canals or water-retaining walls should be constructed in flood ditches to intercept and guide floods in mountainous areas,avoid erosion of buildings,and prevent geological disasters.
