Bridge is an important part of expressway widening engineering,and its design is directly related to traffic safety and sustainable development of the highway.In the design of expressway widening bridge,reasonable determination of the structural form of the connection is an important basis for ensuring the stability of the bridge.Combined with practical engineering cases,this paper discusses the basic form of expressway bridge widening,and then analyzes the transverse connection structure of expressway bridge widening and the applicability of bridge widening.In the static load test of the widened bridge,all indicators such as the structural strength and stiffness performance are in line with the provisions,the structural performance is in an elastic working state,and the overall mechanical properties meet the requirements of the specification.
