Discussion on the Relationship Between Deflection and Durability of Highway Asphalt Pavement
The performance of highway asphalt pavement not only determines its service life,but also has the impact on driving safety that can not be ignored.This paper analyzes the deflection mechanism and influencing factors of asphalt pavement,as well as its durability evaluation and influencing factors.Based on the combination of experimental research and theoretical analysis,focusing on the internal relationship between deflection and durability,the durability of asphalt pavement is comprehensively evaluated.The results show that the excessive deflection of asphalt pavement seriously affects the service life and driving safety of the pavement.For every 1 mm increase in deflection value,the durability index of the pavement decreases by about 2.5%.
