Urban Renewal Design Strategy under the Guidance of Child-friendly Concept—Taking the Child-friendly Street Construction Project of Wanshun Road in Wuxi City as an Example
The child-oriented transformation of street space can provide more activity opportunities and space for children,improve their independent travel ability,enable them to enjoy convenient,comfortable and inclusive facilities,space and services,improve the quality of urban life,and create a more friendly and inclusive urban environment.Guided by child-friendly concept and aiming at the child-friendly transformation of street space,this paper explores the renewal design strategies of Wanshun Road in Wuxi City,including optimizing safety measures,adding activity and game space outside school.These practices provide renewal design templates for future street cities and have reference value for the child-friendly transformation of street space.
