Analysis on the Mechanical Property and Deformation of Cement Improved Mucky Soil
The unconfined compression strength test is used to clarify the influence law of cement content and curing time on the strength and deformation characteristics of improved soil. The research results can provide technical reference for the engineering application of cement improved mucky soil.Through the compaction test and unconfined compression test,it is found that the addition of cement leads to the agglomeration of soil particles, with the increase of cement content, the maximum dry density decreases gradually, and the optimal water content increases. With the extension of curing time, the strength of cement improved soil increases significantly in the first 14 days, and the strength growth slows down from 14 to 28 days.In addition, with the increase of cement content, the unconfined compression strength first increases and then decreases, and the optimal content is 8%.The elastic modulus and deformation resistance of cement improved soil increase with the increase of cement content. It is suggested that the soil with 8%cement content should be used as the filler in the upper part of the subgrade, and the soil with 6%cement content should be used as the filler in the lower part of the subgrade, and the curing performance test should be carried out after 14 days of curing.
