Analysis on Water Supply Pipe Network Upgrading Design and Performance—Taking Songbai Road Project in Shiyan Lake Water Supply Area as an Example
With the acceleration of urbanization,the water supply system is facing great challenges,especially the upgrading of the old pipe network,which becomes the key to ensuring the safety and efficiency of water supply.Tak-ing the Songbai Road project in Shiyan Lake water supply area in Bao'an District,Shenzhen City as an example,this paper analyzes the problems of the existing water supply pipe network and proposes the upgrading design scheme.By using an advanced hydraulic model,the performance of the upgraded pipe network is evaluated in terms of water pressure distribution and flow rate changes.It is found that the introduction of DN1200 water supply pipe significantly enhances the water supply capacity of the southern area,reduces the head loss and optimizes the overall water sup-ply layout.
