Research and Application of Corrosion Control of Circulating Water with Low Conductivity
Some small inter-cooled open circulating water systems adopt RO produced water, soft water or other low conductivity sources as make-up water to keep the total hard-ness in the circulating water system low.For such corrosive water quality, inappropriate alka-linity adjustment will increase the corrosion rate of the circulating water system equipment, affecting its service life.On the other hand, the deposition of rust and corrosion in the equipment will also reduce the efficiency of heat transfer, which is not conducive to the stable operation of the circulating cooling water system. It is difficult for the traditional way of adding corrosion inhibitors to control the corrosion rate at national standards.Through the comparative testing of different regulators in such systems in the actual use,the operation process is optimized, which significantly reduces the corrosion rate of the system and en-sures the safe and stable operation of the system.
