Analysis of A Typical Open-Phase Fault of Soft Start Pump Motor
Prolonged operation under open-phase fault will lead to motor burnout and affect the normal production of the enterprise.The phenomena such as heating,vibration,in-creased operating current,and changes in process parameters that occur during the operation of the motor may be triggered by open-phase fault of the motor.The main reason for the open-phase fault is the irrationality parameter settings of the soft starter or the lack of rigor in the project design.By analyzing a motor heating fault on site,it was found that the early soft starter of this model has design defects that there is no open-phase protection for B-phase,so it is necessary to increase the secondary control protection circuit to improve the motor's open-phase protection function,so as to ensure the safe and stable operation of production.
