Process Selection and Equipment Optimization of Blast Furnace Gas Fine Desulfurization
Based on an example of the construction of new desulfurization facilities for a blast furnace in the northern part of China,the technical characteristics of three processes of microcrystalline adsorption,hydrolysis catalyzed-dry desulfurization and hydrolysis catalyzed-wet desulfurization are compared and analyzed.Considering the project's construc-tion site conditions,construction and operation costs,and other factors,comprehensive consid-eration was given to selecting the hydrolysis catalytic-wet desulfurization process to renovate the existing gas system.In view of the phenomenon that the gas desulfurization tower is prone to bias flow,three different gas inlet pipe connection schemes are designed,and the flow field in the desulfurization tower is simulated and analyzed by using the fluid simula-tion software.The results show that using the tangential inlet connection can make the gas flow distribution in the tower uniform,increase the contact time between the gas and the ab-sorbing liquid,and improve the desulfurization efficiency.
