Expression and clinical significance of β2-microglobulin and albumin to alkaline phosphatase ratio in testicular seminomas
Objective This paper aims to investigate the expression and clinical significance of β2-micro-globulin(β2-MG)and albumin to alkaline phosphatase ratio(AAPR)in testicular seminomas.Methods A ret-rospective analysis was conducted on 31 patients diagnosed with testicular seminomas in the urology department of the Affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Medical University For Nationalities from January 2016 to August 2023,constituting the case group.39 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations in the same hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.The study compared the expression differences ofβ2-MG and AAPR between the two groups.The clinical diagnostic value of β2-MG and AAPR in testicular seminomas was analyzed using receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC).Results The expression levels of β2-MG and AAPR in patients with testicular seminomas were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).while the expression level of AAPR in the case group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The expression levels of β2-MG and AAPR were not significantly correlated with age,BMI,tumor T stage,lymph node metastasis,M stage,cryptorchidism history,and tumor diameter in patients with testicular seminoma.ROC curve display the area under the β2-MG curve(AUC)is 0.759,with a sensitivity of 82.05%and specificity of 61.29%.The AUC for AAPR was 0.788,with a sensitivity of 89.74%and specificity of 64.52%.When combined,β2-MG and AAPR demonstrated an AUC of 0.824,with a sensitivity of 92.31%and specificity of 67.74%.Conclusion The expressions of β2-MG is significantly ele-vated in the peripheral blood of patients with testicular seminomas.while the expression level of AAPR is sig-nificantly reduced in patients with testicular seminoma.Both β2-MG and AAPR exhibit high diagnostic value for testicular seminoma,with heir combined use demonstrating enhanced diagnostic efficacy.
