Visual analysis of the research status of pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy from 2013 to 2023 based on CiteSpace software
Objective To investigate the research trends of pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemothera-py(PIPAC)over the past decade, both domestically and internationally. Methods CiteSpace software was used to analyze the core data of PIPAC studies retrieved from the Web of Science database from 2013 to 2023.Visual analysis was conducted to examine the publication volumes,authors,institutions,countries/regions,keyword frequency, clustering and the temporal trends. Results A total of 397 relevant papers were identi-fied from 2013 to 2023.The year 2022 witnessed the highest volume of publications, with individual authors and institutions contributing up to 32 and 55 papers, respectively.Germany was the country with the highest publication output. The keywords of research focused on"peritoneal carcinomatosis"(112 times),"doxorubi-cin"(92 times)and"carcinomatosis"(88 times).Temporal trend analysis showed that in the past two years, relevant research focused on"systemic chemotherapy","hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy"and"per-itoneal metastases".Conclusion The escalating research interest in pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chem-otherapy underscores its growing importance.Addressing this gap necessitates concerted efforts in further re-search,collaboration,and knowledge exchange among nations, fostering the scientific and standardized ad-vancement of pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy application.
