Study on the syndrome and treatment rules of Zhang Daozong acupuncture for primary headache based on Neo4j
Objective To explore the advantages of knowledge graphs and the presentation of syndrome and treatment rules of acupuncture treatment for headaches by TCM veteran doctors named Zhang Daozong based on Neo4j graph database technology. Methods A total of 251 clinical cases of headache patients treated at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2020 to 2022 were analyzed using PHP language,Gephi, and a cloud platform for community analysis. The syndrome types, symptoms, tongue signs, pulse signs, and acupoint selections with a support degree of ≥0.08 and a confidence level of ≥0.65 were translated into Cypher statements using PHP 5.6 program code, and then inputtedinto Neo4j.Results The main acupuncture point selection was the Governor meridian, accounting for 26.95%.The core acupuncture point prescriptions were Baihui(DU 20),Taiyang(EX-HN 5),Fengfu(GV 16),Yin-tang(EX-HN 3),Yamen(GV 15),Touwei(ST 8),and Fengchi(GB 20).The relationship between syn-drome type and acupuncture point selection with a confidence level ≥0.65 included Zusanli(ST 36),Pishu(BL 20)-Xuexu headache,Fenglong(ST 40)→ Tanzhuo and Fengshi headache,Taichong(LR 3),Xiaxi(GB 43)→ Ganyang headache,Fengmen(BL 12)→ Fenghan headache,Taichong(LR 3),Xuehai(SP 10),Ashi point,Geshu(BL 17)→ Yuxue headache,Quchi(LI 11)→Fengre headache,Shenshu(BL 23)→ Shenxu headache.A knowledge map model of"syndrome type-symptom-acupoint selection"ontology and its relation-ships were constructed. Conclusion In Zhang Daozong's acupuncture treatment of headaches, the acupoints on the head are the main focus, and the acupoints on the Governor's veins are the core, forming an acupoint se-lection rule with"dredging the Governor's veins to adjust Yin and Yang, and regulating consciousness"as the main treatment principles. It is demonstrated that knowledge graphs have the advantages of data integration, knowledge representation, and intelligent retrieval in summarizing the experience of TCM veteran doctors.
