In the paper,four kinds of stamping coke from a steel works were studied under different conditions,and the thermal properties of coke was evaluated from different point of view.The results showed that under the National Standard,the CRI and CSR of the four kinds of coke are in the range of 21%~31%and 54%~68%,respectively.Furthermore,with increasing the reactivity of coke,both the initial temperature and the intense temperature of the coke gasification reaction are decreased,which are in the range of 887~948℃and 1 315~1 423 ℃,respectively.Moreover,with the in-crease of solution loss ratio,the post-reaction strength of coke C and D with fixed solution loss ratio are decreased,and the former is greater than the latter,but the difference between the two is obviously lower than that under national standard condition.Meanwhile,the actual operation results of blast fur-nace(BF)show that the technical and economic indexes of BF are not much different when coke C and D are used under the same other conditions.The evaluation of the thermal properties of coke by u-tilizing the post-reaction strength of coke with fixed solution loss ratio and the average reaction rate at high temperature is more consistent with the situation in the BF,and the recommended testing condi-tions are temperature 1 200~1 400 ℃,fixed solution loss ratio 20%~30%.
