Aiming at the nontechnological roll axial movement problem of the 1580mm fourth-roll rough mill,harmful effects of nontechnological roll axial movement has been described,it is believed that the reasons for the axial movement of roll are the axial force from roll cross.By combining theories with practice,the factors effecting horizontal and vertical crossing of rolls are stated in detail,the control measures are put forward from the aspects of process、equipment and operation,and have been successfully applied in practice.The axial displacement of roll and main drive system of R2 rolling mill is stable at about 2mm,and the rolling stability is significantly improved,this provides a reference for handling similar problems and improving the maintenance level of rolling mills.
