In order to solve the problem of excessive noise emission in steel enterprises,this paper classifies and monitors the environmental noise in a steel enterprise in Baowu.By classifying the noise in different areas of the plant and under different working conditions,analysing the causes of noise generation and the spectral characteristics of the noise generated by different equipment,a comprehensive noise management programme for steel enterprises is proposed.It has been proven that the programme can effectively reduce noise inside the plant and in the surrounding area,and help to maintain stable production in the long term.The implementation of noise monitoring and analysis in iron and steel enterprises can provide a data source for subsequent noise management,meet national environmental protection requirements,and avoid the risk of production stoppage due to inadequate environmental protection or complaints from local residents.
