Spatiotemporal Pattern and Digital Driving Factors of China's Cultural Tourism Industry in the Digital Age
Leveraging digital technology to promote the development of the cultural tourism industry and achieving the deep integration of the digital economy with the real economy play a crucial role in advancing the high-quality development of the national economy. The paper examines 31 provinces in China from 2013 to 2021,constructing a comprehensive indicator system to measure the level of cultural tourism industry development.Using methods such as the entropy method, modified gravity model, social network analysis, standard deviation ellipse, and geographic detector, this study explores the spatiotemporal distribution patterns, regional cooperation status, and driving factors of China's cultural tourism industry development. The results show that the core area and average center of the cultural tourism industry have shifted southwestward.Inter-provincial connections in the cultural tourism industry are becoming increasingly close, forming a relatively stable cooperative network that displays a"dense in the south, sparse in the north;dense in the east, sparse in the west"pattern. The driving effects of digital economy factors evolve over time, with the influence of three driving factors on the development of the cultural tourism industry showing a trend towards balanced development, and dual-factor interactions exhibiting a strengthening effect on the industry.Efforts should focus on improving the quality of cultural tourism development in western regions, promoting regional cooperation through a radiating approach, exploring new pathways for integrating the digital economy with cultural tourism, and using the digital economy to drive high-quality development in the cultural tourism industry.
