On the Practical Path of the Party's Ideological and Political Leadership over Colleges and Universities in the New Era
Strengthening ideological and political leadership is the key link to adhere to and strengthen the overall leadership of the CPC over colleges and universities.The ideological and political leadership of the CPC over colleges and universities is related to the socialist school running direction,the implementation of the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people in colleges and universities,and the realization of the goal of building world-class universities with Chinese characteristics.Although the CPC has made remarkable achievements in the ideological and political leadership of colleges and universities since the new era,the overlapping and closely intertwined risks and challenges such as the westernization and ideological penetration of hostile forces,the dissolution of Marxism's guiding position in colleges and universities by the complex social trends in modern society,and some shortcomings and weaknesses of the ideological and political leadership of colleges and universities themselves still exist.Starting from the internal mechanism of the"trinity" of the main responsibility,ability enhancement,and battlefield construction of ideological and political leadership,we continuously enhance and improve the guiding force of ideological and political education through the implementation of the responsibility system for ideological and political leadership work in universities,arming the entire party with the Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era,continuously improving the education system for teachers and students,and accelerating the construction of Chinese philosophy and social sciences guided by Marxism.
