EFFECTS OF ALLOYING ELEMENTS AND HOT ROLLING PROCESS ON MICROSTRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF AN ADVANCED HIGH STRENGTH STEEL
This paper employs thermodynamic calculations to analyze how the major alloy contents influence the microstructure and mechanical properties of the experimental steel. The findings demonstrate that, within a specific range, elements like Mn,Mo,Cr,and Ni have the capability to enhance the mechanical properties of experimental steel. For instance, incorporating 0.3%mass fraction of Cr,along with other elements, noticeably enhances the hardness of the experimental steel, resulting in a hardness level of 43.6HRC,while also improving its yield strength and tensile strength.
