This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the development history,current situation and future development trend of the German steel industry.It also examines the development status and competitive advantages of ThyssenKrupp and Baden Steel.The results demonstrate that the German iron and steel industry has successfully transformed and upgraded following a period of significant change,including the pre-industrialisation period,the development period of two world wars and the adjustment and restructuring period.Furthermore,the iron and steel industry has developed in the direction of high-end and globalisation.In light of the industrial development profile of Germany,insights are offered into the high-quality development of China's iron and steel industry.
