Impact of"Specialized-Fine-Characteristic-Innovative"Strategy on Digital Transformation of Enterprises?—The Mediating Effect of Technological Innovation Ability
Using the samples of"specialized-fine-characteristic-innovative(SFCI)"and ordinary private companies in the same industries listed on Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2011 to 2021,it empirically investigated the influence of the SFCI strategy on enterprises'digital transformation and the mediating role of technological innovation ability by the comparative analysis method.The research conclusions are as follows.SFCI strategy is conducive to promoting the digital transformation of enterprises,which comes from the synergistic effect of centralization and differentiation,while solely developing in the centralized or differentiating direction would reduce enterprises'motivation and capacity for digital progression.SFCI strategy promotes enterprises'digital transformation by improving their technological innovation capability.In other words,technological innovation ability is the mediating mechanism of SFCI strategy and the digital development of enterprises.In regions with higher marketization or lower uncertainty,SFCI strategy has more advantageous impact on digitalization.From the perspective of competitive strategy,it enriches the exploratory literature on the incentives for enterprises'digital transformation and also provides a theoretical reference for encouraging enterprises to take the SFCI development path and accelerate their digital transformation process.
