Comparison on the Impact on Thyroid Fu nction and Safety of Ultrasound-Guided Percutaneous Thermal Ablation and Endoscopic Surgery in the Treatment of Thyroid Nodules
Objective To explore the impact on thyroid function and safety of ultrasound-guided percutaneous thermal ablation and endoscopic surgery in the treatment of thyroid nodules. Methods 60 patients with thyroid nodules admitted to our hospital from April 2020 to April 2023 were randomly divided into control group(endoscopic surgery)and observation group(ultrasound-guided percutaneous thermal ablation). The surgical effect, thyroid function and incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results No statistical difference was found in the total effective rate of treatment between the two groups(P>0.05).3 months after surgery, the TSH of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the FT3 and FT4 were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 0.00%,lower than 13.33%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Both ultrasound-guided percutaneous thermal ablation and endoscopic surgery can achieve better surgical effect in the treatment of thyroid nodules. However, the former has more significant improvement in thyroid function with higher safety.
