Effect of Mecobalamin Combined with Epalrestat in the Treatment of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy and the Influence on Peripheral Nerve Conduction Velocity
Objective To explore the effect of mecobalamine combined with epalrestat in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods 78 DPN patients were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was treated with mecobalamine, and the observation group was treated with epalrestat on the basis of the control group. The efficacy, nerve conduction velocity and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.44%,higher than 82.05%of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the motor nerve and sensory nerve conduction velocity of the observation group were higher those of the observation group(P<0.05).No statistical difference was found in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Mecobalamine combined with epalastat has better effect in the treatment of DPN,can improve the nerve conduction velocity, and accelerate the improvement of the disease, and reduce the adverse events, with significant clinical value.
