Impact of Oral Restoration Treatment on Periodontal Function and Tooth Aesthetics in Patients with Denture Deletion
Objective To explore the impact of oral restoration treatment on periodontal function and tooth aesthetics in patients with denture deletion. Methods 60 patients with denture deletion admitted to our hospital from May 2019 to May 2023 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group received routine oral restoration treatment, while the observation group received oral implant restoration treatment. The tooth function, periodontal status, and tooth aesthetics were compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of comfort function, chewing function and fixation function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the periodontal probing depth(PD),probing bleeding index(PBI),and plaque index(PI)of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of tooth shape and color in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Oral implant restoration treatment can significantly improve the dental function and periodontal status of patients with denture deletion, with higher tooth aesthetics after surgery and significant clinical value.
