Study on the Correlation between Blood Lactic Acid Level and Type 2 Diabetes Retinopathy
Objective To explore the correlation between blood lactate level and diabetic retinopathy(DR)among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods 145 T2DM patients admitted to our hospital from February 2023 to July 2023 were selected and divided into DR group(n = 60)and non-DR group(n = 85)according to the medical history and auxiliary examination results. The general data of all patients were collected, and the relation of biochemical indicators and blood lactate level with diabetic retinopathy was analyzed. Results The T2DM duration of DR group was significantly longer than that of the non-DR group, and the blood lactate level was significantly higher than that of the non-DR group(P<0.05).Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that T2DM duration and serum lactate level were the risk factors for DR(P<0.05).Conclusions Elevated serum lactate level is a risk factor for DR.
