Clinical Study of Levothyroxine Sodium in the Treatment of Elderly Patients with Hypothyroidism
Objective To explore the clinical effect of levothyroxine sodium in the treatment of elderly patients with hypothyroidism and its impact on patients'thyroid hormone levels and lipid metabolism. Methods 60 elderly patients with hypothyroidism were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was treated with thyroid tablets, and the observation group was treated with levothyroxine sodium tablets. The treatment effects and the levels of thyroid hormones and lipid metabolism indicators were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 93.33%,significantly higher than 70.00%in the control group(P<0.05).After 6 weeks of treatment, the level of TSH in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the levels of FT3 and FT4 were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the levels of CHO and TG were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Levothyroxine sodium in the treatment of elderly patients with hypothyroidism has significant effect, which can obviously improve the thyroid function and regulate the lipid metabolism level of patients.
