Impact of Health Education Guided by Transtheoretical Model on Self-Care Ability and Quality of Life of Patients with Rectal Cancer Stoma
Objective To explore the impact of health education guided by transtheoretical model(TTM)on self-care ability and quality of life of patients with rectal cancer stoma. Methods 120 patients with rectal cancer stoma were randomly divided into two groups. The control group received regular health education, while the experimental group received health education guided by TTM.The self-care ability and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of ESCA dimensions and SF-36 dimensions in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Health education guided by TTM can obviously improve the self-care ability of patients with rectal cancer stoma, and improve their quality of life.
