Analysis on the Correlation between Thyroid Hormone Levels and Hyperuricemia in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objective To analyze the correlation between thyroid hormone levels and hyperuricemia(HUA)in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods The clinical data of 72 T2DM patients admitted to our hospital from September 2020 to June 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to whether complicated with HUA,they were divided into HUA group(n=25)and non-HUA group(n=47).The thyroid hormone(FT3,FT4,TSH)levels were compared between the two groups. The correlation between thyroid hormone levels and T2DM complicated with HUA was analyzed.Binary logistic regression was used to analyze the influence of thyroid hormone levels on T2DM complicated with HUA.Results No statistical difference was found in the FT3 level between the two groups(P>0.05).The FT4 level of HUA group was lower than that of non-HUA group, and the TSH level was higher than that of non-HUA group(P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that FT4 level was negatively correlated with T2DM complicated with HUA(r<0,P<0.05),and TSH level was positively correlated with T2DM complicated with HUA(r>0,P<0.05).Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that the decrease of FT4 level and the increase of TSH level were the risk factors for the occurrence of HUA in T2DM patients(P<0.05).Conclusions Thyroid hormone levels in T2DM patients are closely related to the occurrence of HUA.The decrease of FT4 level and the increase of TSH level in T2DM patients are the risk factors for the occurrence of HUA.
