Analysis on the Clinical Effect and Safety of Transcatheter Arterial Embolization in the Treatment of Infantile Hemangioma
Objective To explore the clinical effect and safety of transcatheter arterial embolization in the treatment of infantile hemangioma(IH).Methods 90 infants with hemangioma were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was treated with circular suture, and the observation group was treated with transcatheter arterial embolization. The clinical efficacy, scar aesthetics, complications and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results No significant difference was found in the total effective rate of treatment, the total incidence of complications and the recurrence rate at 6 months after surgery between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).One month after surgery, the VSS scores of color, vascular distribution, softness and thickness in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Transcatheter arterial embolization and circular suture have comparable short-term and long-term effects and safety in the treatment of IH,but the former can significantly improve the scar aesthetics.
