Observation on the Effect of Endoscopic Tympanoplasty in the Treatment of Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media
Objective To analyze the effect of endoscopic tympanoplasty in the treatment of chronic suppurative otitis media. Methods 98 patients with chronic suppurative otitis media admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to July 2023 were selected and randomly divided into endoscopic group(endoscopic tympanoplasty)and microscopic group(microscopic tympanoplasty),with 49 cases in each group. The levels of inflammatory factors, hearing, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results 1 month after surgery, the serum IL-8 and IL-6 levels of the endoscopic group were lower than those of the microscopic group(P<0.05).3 months after surgery, the average pure tone hearing threshold and air conduction threshold value of the endoscopic group were lower than those of the microscopic group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the endoscopic group was lower than that in the microscopic group(P<0.05).Conclusions Endoscopic tympanoplasty has significant effect in the treatment of patients with chronic suppurative otitis media, and has better improvement effect of inflammatory response and hearing, with higher safety.
