Comparison on Clinical Effects of Modified Radical Mastectomy and Breast Conserving Surgery in the Treatment of Patients with Early Breast Cancer
Objective To compare the clinical effects of modified radical mastectomy and breast conserving surgery in the treatment of patients with early breast cancer. Methods 110 patients with early breast cancer were divided into control group(n=55)and observation group(n=55).The control group was treated with modified radical mastectomy, and the observation group was treated with breast conserving surgery. The operation related indicators, complications and long-term prognosis of the two groups were compared. Results The operation time and hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the intraoperative blood loss was less than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 7.27%,significantly lower than 23.64%in the control group(P<0.05).2 years after surgery,no statistical difference was found in the local recurrence rate(7.27%vs.3.64%)and distant metastasis rate(3.64%vs.1.82%)between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions modified radical mastectomy in the treatment of patients with early breast cancer has similar long-term prognosis with breast conserving surgery, but breast conserving surgery can significantly shorten the operation time and hospitalization time of patients, and reduce the intraoperative blood loss and the incidence of complications.
