Comparison on the Diagnostic Efficacy of MRI and Enhanced CT for Primary Liver Cancer
Objective To compare the efficacy of MRI and enhanced CT in the diagnosis of primary liver cancer. Methods A total of 94 patients with suspected primary liver cancer admitted to our hospital from March 2021 to April 2023 underwent MRI examination and enhanced CT examination. The results of liver biopsy were used as the gold standard to analyze the efficacy of MRI and enhanced CT in the diagnosis of primary liver cancer, and the detections of lesions with different tumor diameters were compared between MRI and enhanced CT.Results The consistency between enhanced CT and liver biopsy results was general(Kappa=0.714,P<0.001),and the consistency between MRI and liver biopsy results was good(Kappa=0.893,P<0.001).The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of MRI in the diagnosis of primary liver cancer were significantly higher than those of enhanced CT(P<0.05).The detection rate of liver cancer lesions with diameter<1 cm by MRI was significantly higher than that by enhanced CT(P<0.05).Conclusions MRI has higher efficacy than enhanced CT in the diagnosis of primary liver cancer, which can improve the diagnostic accuracy.
