Impact of Low-Dose Methylprednisolone Combined with Budesonide on Severe Mycoplasma Pneumonia in Children
Objective To explore the effect of low-dose methylprednisolone combined with budesonide in the treatment of severe mycoplasma pneumonia in children. Methods 98 children with severe mycoplasma pneumonia admitted to our hospital from October 2022 to October 2023 were selected and divided into two groups according to different medication regimens.48 cases in the control group were given budesonide suspension for atomization inhalation, and 50 cases in the observation group were given low-dose methylprednisolone sodium succinate on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, symptom improvement time and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was 96.00%,higher than 79.17%of the control group(P<0.05).The antipyretic time, cough relief time, lung rale disappearance time and chest X-ray recovery time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).No significant difference was found in the total incidence of adverse drug reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Low-dose methylprednisolone combined with budesonide in the treatment of severe mycoplasma pneumonia has good effect and high safety, and can relieve the symptoms and signs of children.
