Clinical Study on Calcitriol Combined with Methimazole and Alendronate in the Treatment of Patients with Hyperthy-roidism Osteoporosis
Objective To explore the clinical effect of calcitriol combined with methimazole and alendronate in the treatment of patients with hyperthyroidism osteoporosis. Methods A total of 78 patients with hyperthyroidism osteoporosis admitted to our hospital from June 2020 to June 2022 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 39 cases in each group. The control group was treated with methimazole and alendronate, and the observation group was treated with calcitriol on the basis of the control group. The pain degree, bone mineral density, and levels of serum osteocalcin and bone alkaline phosphatase were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the NRS score and levels of serum osteocalcin and bone alkaline phosphatase in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the bone mineral density value was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions The treatment of calcitriol combined with methimazole and alendronate can obviously relieve the pain degree of patients with hyperthyroidism osteoporosis, and improve the bone mineral density and levels of serum osteocalcin and bone alkaline phosphatase of patients.
